Pat: Hi, my name is Pat, and this is my husband, Steve. We’ve worked with Neil at Alexander’s for approximately seven years now.

Steve: I was approaching retirement and a work colleague of mine recommended Neil to me. He’d been a client of Neil’s for quite a few years. So, I knew someone who actually dealt with Neil, which gave me a lot of confidence.

We’ve been retired now five years. We had good work pensions but we didn’t know what to do, whether to go down the tried and tested pension route, or, take all of our pension pots out and invest in stocks and shares. A lot of people advised us not to, but we went with Neil, discussed it with him until we felt comfortable with what we were doing, then went through a risk assessment to assess what level of risk we wanted to take. We’ve never looked back.

I find the best thing about working with Neil is, if we have a problem or a little query, we can go and see him face to face. It’s not someone on the end of a telephone or someone you don’t see, or you don’t know. When we go into the office, the staff make us feel comfortable. Neil feels like he’s one of the family.

Pat: Anna and Vicky are lovely girls. They’re really friendly, really helpful and knowledgeable. They’re just at the end of the phone, or, if we want to, we can go in and see them in the office. They’ve always helped us with everything we want to know. They’re really good with Neil, we have no problems at all with any of them.

Steve: We discussed with Neil how much we would need for a comfortable retirement. We’ve hit that target year after year after year. So, we’re quite happy with the way things have gone. We have a good retirement now.
