In the last couple of years, our business has grown significantly. To support our growth and ensure our clients continue to receive the excellent service you associate with Alexandra’s Financial Management, we’ve taken on two new apprentices. We hope they’ll become an integral part of the AFM team for years to come.
We first started looking to expand our team before the pandemic struck. Despite restrictions over the last year, our business has continued to go from strength to strength. So, as the recovery started, we began looking for two apprentices. We were incredibly lucky to receive a huge number of high calibre applications from young, ambitious people, and we were fortunate to secure Mia and Kiran. We know they will make great additions to our team.
Both will be working towards their Business Administration Level 3 qualification over the next 18 months while picking up valuable experience in AFM’S office.
We’re thrilled to be able to provide an opportunity to kickstart the career of two talented young people. It’s always been difficult for young workers to find opportunities where they can thrive and employers can make a real investment in them, and the Covid-19 crisis has made this worse. As part of an award-winning independent financial advice firm, our goal is to provide Mia and Kiran with the support, tools, and commitment they need to flourish as they forge a career.
While we’ve been able to provide Mia and Kiran with an opportunity to start their career, they will be given control over how they progress, and there are lots of opportunities they can take advantage of. Whether they decide they’d like to work in administration, paraplanning, or financial advice, we’ll be here to support them with experience, and preparing for exams if necessary.
We’ve always operated in a way that allows our staff to develop their skills and areas of expertise. This allows them to focus on the areas they’re really interested in and make the job role their own, helping to ensure a high level of service from engaged staff. To help our new apprentices think about their future, they’re getting stuck in across the business and benefiting from constant coaching, including shadowing Neil.
They’ve only been with us for a matter of weeks, but they’re already asking the right questions and providing us with valuable support to ensure our clients are well looked after.
Over the coming months and, hopefully, years, you’ll start to see more of Mia and Kiran. As a small business that works closely with clients, considering the future is incredibly important to us and means clients can be confident about their long-term goals too. By the time Mia and Kiran complete their apprenticeships they’ll already know the ins and outs of Alexandra’s, have built relationships with clients, know why financial planning can change lives, and understand our values, making them great assets to the business and our clients.
